Lifetime Pontiac fan, new to W-body

Hello all, like the title says I'm new to the forum and the W-Body cars but have been into Pontiac since I can remember. I owned an '85 TransAm in my teens then got married '02 and traded it in for an SSei where I found an appreciation for the L67. When the GTP Comp G came out in '04 I test drove it and wanted to upgrade, but the $40,000 price tag placed it out of reach. Fast forward to 2016 and I recently scored an '04 Comp G on CL for $3,250 that had many of what I've found to be the typical L67/L32 issues which look scary unless your familiar with the engine platform (lim/coolant elbow/valve cover leaks etc.) I've been reading up on many of the posts here and look forward to kicking my performance up a notch as I expand from the H-body into the W-body arena.

I read this and had to say hello, lol. I pretty much caught the same ride here.

I also looked at an 04 Comp G that was a mess. I mean it was a real basket case. I'd given up finding a car a I wanted and looked an AWD Ford Five Hundred (I'll reiterate "given up.")

I found this beast sitting somewhere pretty, but lookin a little ugly. $3,800 later I'm an owner of an 05 Comp G complete with peeling clearcoat and road salted rims.

I'm new to the Series III, but have learned much in a week. I've been tired from obsessing on the reading, but it's worth it. Welcome!

Welcome aboard. If you like FWD GPs, you should try a RWD one with a Pontiac V8 at least once in your life:th_biggrin2:
