What kind of Springs should i get?

So im trying to figure out if i should upgrade the springs when i do my rocker install on my 2002 Gtp. Right now i have a set of 1.8 yella terra rockers waiting to go in, and currently would like to stay where im shifting which is about 6200 Rpm. My main concern is wearing out the timing chain dampener since its my daily driver right now. Has about 130K on it. What would you guys recommend i do?

im looking at the blue 90's on intense. would i need anything else to run with them like manely retainers? are they very hard on a dampener?

you need new LS style retainers, valve seals, and locks. I ran 90lb springs for about a year with my xp cam revving it to 6200 without an issue. you will also need new valve cover gaskets and rocker arm bolts unless the rocker kit came with them. personally, I wouldn't mess with the timing chain dampner unless you suspect it of failure. the oem one should be fine. I did 1.9 ratio rockers on my last grand prix and thought it was ok. I wouldn't mess with the 1.8's unless you got a really good deal on them or if you think you might do a cam in the future because you can measure for the correct length pushrod when the cam is in and do an xp cam with 1.8's and the right length pushrod.

Thanks for the good advice. I currently have a set of 1.8's only because i got a good deal on them. I would love to do a cam in the near future but that would most likely be this coming winter. Still need to figure out emissions if i decide to go that route. Also have bolts and pushrods for the rockers too. Its whatever comes with the yella terra sets.
