I have decided to sell my clean 2001 Bronzemist Grand Prix GTP Coupe, with 119,700 miles. It is fully optioned out - Bose, moonroof, Heads-up display, GTP. I am selling because I need something with 4 doors now that I have a kid. (putting a kid in a carseat in the back is no easy task!) I used this as a daily driver since 2010 when I purchased it from the original owner at 64k. I didn't drive this too often, but have kept it in as great of condition as I could considering its age. As I'm sure you know, GTP coupes are somewhat rare. I have full documentation of any maintenance or part replacement that I've done, including receipts. I have religiously changed the oil, every 5000 miles with Mobil 1 10w30 with a K&N HP-1001 filter. This was my pride and joy for some time, so during this car's lifetime it was never neglected. This needs no work and is a good drive as is. I am asking $3500 OBO. PM or E-mail me if you are interested - [email protected].
Performance parts installed:
· Thrasher CAI w/ clean filter
· ZZP PCM 1.0
· ZZP 3" downpipe
· ZZP 2.5" stainless steel catback
· 3.5" press on pulley w/ Gates belt
· Autolite 104 plugs
· ZZP diagonal braces
· ZZP voltage vooster
· ZZP front and rear strut tower braces
· GMPP front and rear sway bars
· UMI trailing arms
· 180* drilled thermostat
It handles pretty well, far better than stock with the sways and strut tower braces. It runs Goodyear Eagle GT 225/60/16 rubber on factory 16" torque star wheels. The rubber is about 60% worn. Front brake pads are Raybestos Advanced Tech Ceramic Disc pads, have about 20k on them with plenty of life remaining. Front rotors and rear pads are and rotors are new.
I've replaced or added the following parts recently:
· Supercharger fluid
· Carbon Cabin air filter
· Auxillary tape deck mod'd to add auxillary-in 3.5mm cable
· Plugs, wires, PCV valve, all filters all done in the last 30k
· Both Headlight bulbs, both fog lamp bulbs
· Timkin axle bearing/hub assembly replacement for front passenger side
· 2004 Grand Prix GT leather seats including heated drivers seat. Including parts to wire up passenger heat
· GM #15794785 water deflector (new design to prevent leak into passenger foot area)
· Replaced rear struts with Monroe Quick Struts
· Replace transmission cooling lines with ACDelco replacements
· Replace Power Steering return line with ACDelco replacement
· Rotors/pads
· Drivers side temperature actuator
· HVAC unit
· Supercharger belt tensioner assembly
· Supercharger belt "smooth" idler pulley
· New serpentine and supercharger belts
· 20% window tint rear windows
· Grille inserts (will include originals)
· Replacement headlights -- no leaks, fogging, etc, they are in great condition
· Altezza tail-lights tinted by Flip to 50%. They look awesome.
· Red side GTP badges, debaged "Grand Prix" from rear
· Chrome inserts for "Pontiac" logo on rear bumper
As you can see, I have kept up with maintenance on this vehicle. It has also been sealed/waxed and maintained with Zaino and Adams products. It's sparkles nicely for a vehicle of its age.
The bad:
· I have to recharge the A/C every summer. I had a shop diagnose the issue and it's a leak in the compressor.
· A minor oil leak. A few drops here and there, but not a big deal.
· A small dent in the hood, 1 on the drivers side, a few chips in the front bumper and hood, otherwise the body is in great condition
· Rust: I drove this during winters in NE Ohio. It has your standard rust in the rear wheelwells, but it only shows on the passenger side. There is standard rocker rust as you'd expect for a vehicle DD'd in the winter. Overall it's not bad and I'd estimate 10+ years of good life in this vehicle.
· Interior cabin lights do not work. The fuse pops immediately if you try to replace it. I have taken the whole headliner down to look for a short but was unable to find it. I bought the car with this problem and have learned to live with it. It's not a big deal, in my opinion. Original owner did not disclose this to me and I had to find out on my way home.
· ABS light. I have not had it scanned to determine which ABS sensor is not working.
I tracked it once. It ran a 14.0 @ 99mph in the 1/4mile at Norwalk Raceway Park with minimal wheelspin. It's faster than that today because I've added additional performance parts. It's no slouch and is fun to drive. On the freeway, I average about 28MPG if I keep my foot out of it... which is hard sometimes because this gets up and goes.
I'll let the photos speak for themselves. You can tell it's a clean car. No accidents or bodywork.
