I have a Valor DVD head unit in my car, and it has a cable to connect an ipod to it. but i cant seem to find any cables that would actually utilize this kind of connector to the ipod itself. any ideas?

there is probably another cable that attaches to that one. with an Ipod plug on one side and the male connector on the other

s-vid is only 4 or7 pin and only 2 rows i believe, i agree with the above should be another cord that plugs into that.

Yep, absolutely correct. finally got ahold of someone at valor (customer service?) and said i would need a $30 cable that connects the mini din to ipod. I'll just burn mp3 cds haha

There's always a catch :(

That is why I love my Pioneer HU. It had a built in USB connector, so I just plug in an extra thumb drive or small portable HD if I wanted to. I can even use the Ipod connector to my computer to plug into it and get the access control to it.

They never want to make it easy for the consumer to have the best of both worlds it seems :(
