KR that I don't understand

This car is driving me insane. I have an XP cam with 130's, ported heads, headers, stock gen 3 supercharger with stock pulley, and stock L67 tb. I don't understand why I still have kr. I don't think my o2 sensor is hitting on the firewall, but maybe I need to hit the firewall some more to get more clearance. here are a couple scans and my current tune. My transmission dipstick is flexible braided stainless steel and runs up along one side of my headers and does rub, but I'm not sure if that would cause anything.

I'll try that

edit for more info: I think my maf smoothing skills are rusty or not developed fully. I remembered a maf ltft histogram a friend sent me that had a filter built in to block any deceleration enleanment and any power enrichment data, so when I was making an adjustment it would make the change across the board when it should not have been changing everything.

one other theory is that the maf sensor I have in is faulty because I switched from an L36 throttle body to the correct L67 throttle body. when I had the L36 tb on, I made a few maf adjustments, and it was good, now that I have the L67 tb on, the adjustments I make bring the fuel trims in on some areas, but not for other areas.

I have a habit of over complicating things, so let me know if I'm crazy or don't have correct knowledge of the system.

Is this a top swapped motor?

If you are running in closed loop, you are probably better off going back to a stock l67 maf table and letting the pcm adjust as needed. Your cam is going to cause issues running in closed loop, especially at idle. But it's nothing you can't live with.

it's not top swapped, I had a north star throttle body on and took it off without realizing the only throttle body I had on hand was an L36. the L36 worked fine, and then when I switched to the L67, the maf smoothing hasn't gone as expected.

the other thing I changed was the L67 tb didn't have the honey comb installed, so I took it out of the L36 and put it in the L67 tb. I made one adjustment after that, and it seems more accurate now.

just a heads up here. I had a Grand Prix of a buddies that went through several different engines and heads and setups. it always had kr. what eventually fixed it was a new PCM with the same bin file uploaded.

that seems strange, but if it worked, awesome. I'll keep that in mind. it will be a pain having to buy more credits for the hp tuner. I have a pcm from a 99 gtp that I tried to get to work by changing the vin with the dhp, but it seems hp tuners looks at other stuff to identify a different pcm.

Try reading your current file with dhp. Then open it with hpt and flash the bin to the new pcm. I used to get around buying credits for different cars by doing that.

I tried that before I sold the dhp, it didn't make any difference. one of the reasons I sold the dhp was because I couldn't change the vin with dhp and use a different pcm with the hp tuners. I did reset the maf tune to a stock L67 and have made 2 adjustments with good results and nothing strange like before. when I come home from work tomorrow I plan on doing some wot pulls to see how my trims are wot.

it was my spare pcm from my last 99 gtp, I was able to change the vin, but the hp tuners looks at other stuff too for identification.

all you need is the osid # of your bin, then you would change the vin # with dhp, then read with hpt after the fact.

but your dhp is long gone now so no of this applies.

unless you can still do it with tt. iirc you can change the osid # with that. as well as the vin#

ive done pcm's for hp guys so they could have the cat test removed. as long as you use the same osid # and set the vin, hp guy can read and edit the new bin.

the 01 up pcm's that wont take the vin change can still be done with a tech 2 or similar scanner.

I don't know what I was doing wrong, it seems like I was doing it like you said, but it was June of last year so I don't remember exactly what happened.

Sorry to threadjack this, but this comment just made me think.

I've been following the "Starting HPtuners" steps for some time. I understand why we set PE way up so it doesn't affect our trims, but the guide makes no mention of disabling deceleration enleanment or DFCO.

I try not to go into DFCO when scanning (and it's obvious if my WB goes to straight lean), but I know Decel Enleanment is doing it's thing just by looking at the trims going positive when I'm coasting. How do you filter that out in your histogram?

I'm not sure how the filter works. I can email the config for that filter if you want to pm me your email. I'm still using 2.24 fyi, not sure if the filter will need adjustment for the new 3.0.
