Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Totaled :(

So bg138287, how are things working out so far? What did the insurance company pay for your Grand Prix? Did they try to pull anything funny with you? The insurance company of the other driver in my accident tried to get me to accept 40% of the liability...lol.. Now the attorney's get to deal with them. My accident happened January 30, and I wasn't even able to get an adjuster to talk to me until 3 1/2 weeks after the accident. They are still fighting the liability, so I probably won't get paid for my car until 2 months after the accident...

Man that's crap!
So far I'm in a holding pattern though. State troopers have yet to release the official police report, then they'll determine liability, which I'm confident will go my way. When that happens, the other insurance company will reimburse me for my deductible, bringing me to 5700 for the car. Fortunately I haven't had any funny business, in fact his agent sent me a CD with my recorded statement, kind of a nice touch actually.
Everything I've heard is that the longer it gets drawn out, the better it could work out for you. They like to settle quickly, and when they can't, it can often go in your favor. And having an attorney on your side will definitely help.
It may not get solved quickly, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for a satisfying result for you! :)
And as soon as I get news on mine, I'll update!

Taking awhile to determine fault is not good. Just don't get your hopes up. You have probably gotten all the money you're gonna get. Bills might be paid by your medical payments insurance up to an amount, but if nobody can prove that you did not cause the accident, insurance companies don't have to pay for injuries or other losses. You really don't want to hear about how this went for me. Pile on malpractice and still come home empty handed! And broken handed. I tried to avoid saying expect to be screwed here but you should. I sincerely hope this goes your way and hope that you DO have contact info for that witness even though you don't acknowledge my posts.

Not acknowledging your posts? Chill out man, I'm such typing with one hand. Anyway I'm taking your advice and staying away from work. Any contact I have with my boss is done through personal email. What we're waiting on right now is the police to publish their report so the other insurance company can finish their investigation for liability. His insurance has been prompt and professional about everything, it's MN state troopers we're waiting on. That's the only reason it's taking so long. I do have legal counsel anyways, but even then, we're waiting for the police report.

I'll take you up on the chill pill, its just a grumpy subject for me and I heard all good news up until they all decided to jump ship because there was no video. My grumpiness is in honor of your frustration, hows that?

Lol fair enough. Also if I spend too much time talking to you am I gonna catch the bad luck you've had?

I think the most frustrating part of this is not knowing my budget for a replacement yet. And even then, what should I get?! And also, the one hand I have to use to type is NOT my dominant hand. -_-

Haha I'm just kidding! Luckily I've only got a week left with the cast, then I can get back to "work" poking away at a keyboard!

Sorry for your loss, but on a good side looks like your GP held up to the hit pretty well given the circumstances . . . Could be much worse
