Pre-'06 GTP vs '06+ GT

So I've been looking at buying a new car and I've decided to get a Grand Prix. Today I went and drove an '06 GP GT and damn. Everything about the car I fell in love with. From the smooth ride to the interior, and the power. However, I see plenty of affordable GTP's in my area, and I was just wondering what are the differences between the '06 GT and the GTP? There's only a couple GT's in my state that're decently priced and they may be could by the time I can get the money next week. If next week comes and there's no GT's for sale at a decent price, would the GTP be much of a different choice?

GTP is supercharged and makes more power. GTP's come with all options most of the time. GT's can be fully loaded, but they aren't as common. Go for the GTP if possible.
 
isn't the 06 GT just a newer 04-05 GTP? Thought they dropped the real GT model in favor of a supercharged GT model.

Anyway, if you plan on modding, 04-05 are better suited. The 06+ seem to be a little more fussy with stuff.

I had an 04 that I cammed and turboed and absolutely loved it.
 
in 06 and 07 gt's were supercharged. 04 and 05 were gtp's. otherwise at five fingered said they are almost exactly the same

That's what I was wondering lol.

Yeah I plan on doing some minor bolt ons, but not really anything serious.

Check engine light. Its on in the pictures, looks like car is started so its not just a "Turn the car on you moron" light
 


Bull ****. That will rarely set a CEL. I had a ton of leaks in my headers lol Tell him you want the codes read and in your hand.
 
Yeah no way that CEL is from an exhaust leak, I had leaking headers and a severely leaking flex pipe and never had any CEL pop up
 


This is the cheapest I can find in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma of 06+ GT's, or pre 06 GTP's. Unless you take into account GP's with a lot of body damage or almost 200k miles on them.
