2004 Comp G with odd hood scoops



I think it's a slp hood it probably came with the car. It looks kinda similar to the slp hood for 97-03 grand prixs. Not 100% sure though I have he 97-03 body style.

Looks like a custom hood, another member did that to his but I don't remember who it was.

Fenders looks like a copy or a recreation of the GXP fenders.

To my knowledge only the special edition hood and inferno hood are the different hoods that can be had for the 04+ cars.
 
SLP Made a 04+ hood. Very rare, and this car appears to have one. Im more interested in the rear spoiler. I don't recall SLP making anything for the 04+ in that department
 
Just noticed the spoiler now. Wow, so that's the 7th gen SLP hood? I'm really curious about the GXP-like fenders (look better than the GXP's, IMO).

This thing is cool. Just saved all the pictures to my desktop. ;)
 
it does also have this nice dent in the quarter, thats big money off.

I haven't found anything that talks about the fender louvers. the hood scoops are either spo dealer installed or slp, and it looks like the spoiler was an spo option as well. the car looks like it's been debadged, so that doesn't really help with identification, but it is a comp g.

the nada value is like 6700 for clean retail, that dent alone should take at least 1000 off, and the driver seat has a good tear on it, so it's really only worth 4800 at best. I like that it doesn't have a lot of miles. I'm going to be in that area next monday, and will go look at it.

Did I miss it, or was there a picture of the door sticker? Curious on the VIN and RPO codes..., build date too.

That dent isn't too bad, pull it out with one of those car suction cup things.
 
I didn't see the RPO codes, but the vin is in the listing. the dent doesn't look too bad, but nonetheless it is still there.

The hood is an SLP hood, there's no such thing as an SPO hood. I'm also not sure where you're seeing "plenty" of them let alone tagged as SPO hoods lol... there were less than 10 made


The spoiler isn't an SPO, or an normal production one. 99% positive it's either custom or a very low production (like, under 5) SLP piece.

I apologize for not being able to draw this out in crayon for you.
 
That does look like an SLP hood. It looks like it has SLP tips too. I've never seen that spoiler before but I am curious.
 
id bet thats an early 03 pre-production car
i worked on a mod'd 04 compG that was built in 4/03. had 03/older ac compressor/thread together AC lines. alum pan/cast rods/die cast front cover.

it was as if they were scraping the bottom of the parts barrel

the car i was working on was intense's 04+ test car that they developed the gen5 IC setup for.

if its an early car it was probably one SLP used to develop em or at least display their wares

What are you trying to link to? That is for a SPO spoiler. The spoiler on the car in the original post is not the same spoiler. It's not an SPO.
