What are the normal cruising rpms?

I noticed today that when going anywhere from 25-45 mph when at operating temperature (basically city driving):

Foot lightly on gas - rpms go up to 2500,3000

Foot off gas - rpms drop to about 1,100 going any of those speeds mentioned above.

I sit parked idling at about 800-900 rpms.

Is this normal?

I only run about 1100-1200 in 3rd locked up at 40. I run about 1900 at 70 locked up in 4th.

Between 20-30 and varying the gas it isn't going to lock up and you are at the bottom of 3rd gear at that point, so the TCC is slipping about 600-700 rpm's when it locks up about 35 or so then it will drop TCC slippage to about 20-30rpm

From a stop.... Light throttle, watch for the car to shift to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, then lockup. Say at 48-50 car should stay locked in OD with light throttle. Give it medium-light throttle should unlock, stay in 4th, jump up several hundred rpm. More throttle medium-heavy and get the downshift to 3rd.

You should (flat level road) be able to keep it locked in 4th in light throttle at 50 mph cruise steady state around 1500 rpm (depending on gearing).

Normal driving (ie light acceleration) I shift around 2,000-2,500 rpm and cruise around 1,400 (depending if I am going fast enough to lock 4th OD). 100% city.
