• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread

still, i broke parts but you really bust stuff up good. id keep a body in one piece for a month or so easy before it cracked. and it would be flipped all the time, do the 30 foot roof slides lol

i know all to well about the high center of gravity on some of these cars first hand.

Did I mention it was only 30* outside, I am sure that had a lot to do with it, the body on the 1/10 Ruckus only has cracks in the back from dragging the ground doing wheelies.
I haven't really broke too much stuff though.
1 axle on the 1/18 Ruckus, not sure what happened there, I've seen people bashing them harder than that, and as far as I know no one else has had that issue.
Stripped 3 diffs on the 1/18 Ruckus, they are the known weak point, other than the shock caps, the gears are made of butter soft plastic, a guy modded some mini quake diff gears to fit and so far have held through 15 3S packs, so I ordered some gears for that.
1 Axle, 1 A Arm and rounded out one hex on the 1/10 Ruckus - axles get destroyed all the time in these things. Who keeps stock front A Arms on their RC's anyway?
1 Caster Block on the Stampede - again known for breaking.
1 Rear wing on the Merv, they break all the time and are easy to replace.

It works, but it not like OMMFG! I guess like going from a 3.8 to maybe a 3.6 pulley. Nothing spectacular but it does gain some speed and eat a little bit more fuel. Worth it to me for the price no, only for bragging rights that I would have a supercharged rc car.

My nephew wanted to drive the P2ede today, so I turned the forward power down to 50% and let him take it for a spin, this was the end result. :( Probably should have went down to 30%. He ran it full throttle right into the front of the Merv. Bent one of my new turnbuckles and now it doesn't steer for ****.
