swapping a supercharged motor to my 94 GTP?

Wondering about the possibility of swapping a supercharged motor to my 94 GTP? What all is involved? What's a good year candidate for the donor. Trans and all I assume. I'll bet there is a thread for this?

Thanks

I did this with a 92 Lumina Z34 about 12 years ago. It bolts in you basically need a donar car with the engine, transmission all accessories wire harness and ECU. Lots of work but it is fun seeing peoples faces when you pop the hood.

Just an f.y.i for parts sourcing you will be looking up a lot of stuff for 95 and 96 Regals with the 3800 series 2. that will give you things like the correct lower radiator hose upper as well as heater core hoses. the fuse boxes and engine size harness power system is a little nicer than the 94 Cutlass stuff we used for the 442 so would probably be a little cleaner of an install to splice in the series to PCM and engine harness. repining the firewall pass through is not that difficult but it is tedious

it also won't be as simple as a bolt on intake or something like that which I feel like is what you are thinking. It's a little bit more in depth than that.

This is true. The swap took me months to complete due to my inexperience and being an engineering student while working. I had several bugs to work out that took me many months after the car was running to resolve. Several cracked flexplates, failed torque converter, etc. I had the engine in and out of the car 6 or more times. It is completely do-able just not easy.

The nuts and bolts of swapping the engine and trans are not my concern. It's the electrical part that's got me worried. Knowing what to swap and how to connect it.
