You cannot tune a 2008 model year grand prix. (The GXP has a different computer because it's a V8)

Not to burst your bubble, but it's the only year that nothing can be done with the PCM. 2008 was the first year canbus and they never made a 09+ grand prix so no one decided to try and make them "tune-able".

The gp cannot be the only vehicle that has canbus. I am sure there are tuners out there that are capable of tuning a canbus car.

08 was full CANbus. the 04-07 was a hybrid serial/CANbus system analogous to the old OBD1.5 cars/transitioning

edit to split it up better, seems it was 3 stages, 04-05 being mostly serial/CAN capable, 06/07 serial/CAN, 08+ full CAN

That is totally irrelevant to what I was saying.
It is safe to assume that other cars that were made in the same time period, like other GM cars, Fords, Chryslers..., are also CANbus and I am assuming they can be tuned by something. What I am saying is that somewhere I am sure there is software that is more than capable of tuning it.
 
HP Tuners can do anything like canbus on newer cars from cehvy/ford/dodge.

They have said it themselves that they will not take the time to figure out how that exact style computer functions and works and then write the code/software to support it.
