• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just putting the word out -it's a group of good people who have good knowledge to share. There are several people who have been part of the 3800 scene for over 10+ years. Come in if you want the straight answers to your questions.
Post up pics of your GTP and what mods you have done, or want to do and get the help you want without the overload of people going off topic like in larger groups.

there's plenty of terrible places to get information from. facebook groups are a prime breeding ground for the dumb and inexperienced.

Name the facebook groups in particular that host the most people with the least technical input of value.
I know on the open net the original PBC proved to be worthless, as did a lot of other 3800 sites, which is why the Facebook groups picked up/killed off the regular .com sites.

I'm on there.

The ignorance that is posted there gets me through my day with maximum laughing spurts.

While there are "people there that have been in the scene 10+ years"...and me being one of them...those people mostly don't waste their time posting on Facebook. If you actually sat there and read half the **** that was posted on GTPOG, it's seriously atrocious.

Why so serious?

The amount of stupid has gone up so much since people quit coming to message forums for help and use Facebook instead.

I would love to be a part of an OKC Grand Prix club, but i'm not on social media, so maybe you could turn that facebook group into a website and/or local message forum and i would be all about that!

i think most people on the FB groups are the lower/mid teens where they grew up not knowing what an actual computer is rather than just using your phone to look stuff up.

they don't look things up even though they have the answers in the palm of their hand. that's the issue.

The 3800 sites are and always will be better then your Facebook garbage. GTFO with your fb is greater nonsense. Go make a meme and like a selfie

and no. Fb didn't kill off the .com sites. The age of these cars killed off the sites

actually the forum trend is slowly losing traction and has been for a while since social media took over and allowed groups to be formed. it's easier access for people that are less educated and therefore bring a whole new side to the scene.

if i want real answers i go to ls1tech, not the cts-v groups on facebook. i also use the search function.
