door chime/windows/sunroof/radio

when i open the door on my 97 gtp with the key in it dings like normal but with it out it dings fast like i left lights or something on but nothing is on, also the power windows, sunroof and radio do not work, i checked the fuses under the hood and in the glove box and they are fine, is there another one somewhere, what could be the problems? i just got the car
 


ok i checked and the rap, radio1, radio2, cdchgr, power window and sunroof fuses and power window circuit breaker all have no power going to them. i thing the 3 connectors hanging under the dash on the passenger side is the problem, could someone tell me what is supposed to be plugged into them, i took the glove box out and there must be something missing? the guy that had the car must have taken whatever it was, i can tell that they were plugged in at one time. look at the pics i attached. :confused:

Yup those look like the plugs that are supposed to plug into the BCM (Body Control Module). Your going to want to look and see if it is still there and if it is why is it unplugged. Funny thing is, if the BCM is unplugged I would have thought that the vehicle would not have started due to the security system.

the bcm is there, it is on the drivers side beside the parking brake, those are hanging on the passenger side?
 
Haha I just replied to your post on v6. There is a possibility that the bcm could be in a different location depending on the year. I will have a look in mine tomorrow and let you know what I see.
 
i know it is there i saw it and i can hear it dinging everytime i open the door haha, it is the square box that dings right? and the car starts and runs fine, and security light will flash on the dash when i lock it up. you might be able to look up under the dash on the passenger side of yours, let me know thanks, i am also thinking that one of those 3 plugs is for the optional cd changer in the trunk, which is also missing along with its harness:th_angry2: and i know it had one because it has the cdchgr fuse still in the fuse panel

Ahh missed the part about it being on the passenger side...sorry.

Hmmm, not sure what that is, if there is anything that is supposed to be there. I guess we will find out when someone else chimes in.

My next guess is that it could be the ignition switch. A question comes to mind just now.....do you have an after market stereo/radio?
 
Does it have the bose system? I think the stock amp would have been located under the dash if it does. Also, I just had a look at mine and the only thing I see that might use those 2 square plugs are 2 relays that are clipped onto the metal support behind the glovebox. Your best bet would be to hit up a junk yard since whatever was there you will need to replace anyway.
 
thanks for looking at yours and yea i will look in a junkyard, and i dont think it has a bose system, im not sure how to tell.
