Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Few misc questions about new (to me GTP)

First off, it's a two door and the passenger seat release latch to allow back seaters in doesn't work. The seat can freely pivot forward without having to use the latch. How can this be resolved?

Secondly, both the driver and passenger seat have a point in the leather. Like they're puckered up in the middle, has anyone seen this happen, if so, is it fixable?

Also the trim on the top of the door panel is falling apart. Are those parts that can easily be found and replaced? Or is the entire door panel including trim one unit?

Seat buckle, my passenger seat has that problem. Look underneath to see if any wires are poking through the foam. If not, it's the sh*tty leather. Door trim, I got a new one off a car at the JY. You may have to staple it in though. Mine didn't need that.

Another one haha

How will replacing the stock radio with my Alpine head unit affect the heads up display? I know the heads up shows radio stations etc, I assume that function will no longer work with an aftermarket head unit, but what about other features like speed etc?

I still have my stock radio in so couldn't tell ya.

Another one I just thought of that you probably can't help with then :p

My 02 GP GT had my aftermarket head unit and amp/subs. This new GTP is sporting the Bose system, anything special I need to know when pulling out the head unit etc to install my stuff?

I'll check that! Is the leather easy to pull back to reveal the foam?

The seats, one of the springs is broken. You can get to them from the bottom of the seat, you will have to take the seat out of the car.
The hud won't display radio info if you replace the stock head unit.
With the Bose system you have 2 options, 1. Buy the harness adapter or 2. Run the power turn on lead to the pink wire on the connector that doesn't plug into the wire harness adapter.

I can't just simply pull out the Bose amp etc and put all my stuff in?

Hook the stuff like normal and split off the power turn on lead so one goes to the amp and the other connects to the pink wire on the harness.

Yup, I used the Bose in my 01 GTP with subs, it sounded world's better than my 97 gtp that had Alpine Type S all around.

Door trim, and seats can be found at a junkyard, or if your lucky you find the right ad on craigslist and its less than 150 for a set of seats, and anything else you need on the car.

I had same problem with my leather seats in my 01, i replaced with 05 leather seats, heated seat works and its way better seat.

Heads up, you do lose your radio signals on the heads up. I believe you do need another adapter because of the bose system, also you need to find the right one that works with bose. I use crutchfield, its a pioneer decent one that was like 150$. I have bose in my car, heads up, the works.

Nope, do what I said, you don't need that adapter.
