Best places for alignments / coupons for major chains?

So I've been due for an alignment for some time, I usually go to a local dealer for this but the last time I was not happy with their service.

Does anyone have links for coupons or discounts for the major chain stores? Dobbs, firestone, ntb, STL area franchises?

Alignments arent a regular maintenance type service.

But I'd say just pick somewhere, the prices are going to almost always the same give or take 10-15 bucks.

Ah forgive me for leaving this out,
I re-did the front suspension with new parts; a arms, tie rods ball joints etc. New lateral arms in the rear.
Did this all last year and never had it aligned. Not a big deal, only put a couple thousand miles on the car since. But when I drove it yesterday after putting the addco rear sway bar on I realized how bad it was.

take it anywhere. they're going to put it "within spec" anyway.

unless you actually want to pay for a good alignment, then i don't know. i only know of a few places up here in my area (milwaukee) that'd do a good job with the specs i'd ask for.

That's what I liked about the dealer I used to take my new edge mustang to. I'd give the specs I wanted to the old man that did the alignments.

But the last time he forgot to tighten some things up front, I wasn't happy. lol I might give them another chance.

I replaced everything except the knuckles and hubs then took it to Firestone. $85 bucks.
It was all over the place and i was scared to drive it there.

Firestone used to offer a lifetime alignment for $165. I get one every other month or so just because. I think I'm at ~$12 an alignment at this point

I may have to go with firestone, i have aligned my grand prix 3 times now, 65$ once, 100$ the other two times, my g6 i have aligned once for 65, and another for 100, another is coming for 100.

Everytime, I have drove straight to the dealer, or my place that does alignments, its 8 miles away, or dealer is 25.
If I did shocks+struts, i waited 25-40 miles, drove over bumps, gravel roads that are not the best, just so they could settle before the alignment, max would be 50 miles I drive the car before the alignment. Tires cost more than a alignment will.

most of the places that offer the lifetime alignment will only do "in spec" alignments. if it's in the green it's good to go for them.

unless you know someone there that'll work with you to get your alignment how you want then just skip that idea.

for reference, the corner balance and aggressive street alignment on my car cost $200 cash at a place that does ONLY alignments and has done many high end cars and track cars that are way more important than my junker. you get what you pay for with alignments.

Only thing I have is lifetime Firestone alignments. As much as some will spec and it leave it, I have a little faith in the guy I deal with. He will spend a little more time with me and my cars to get it just right for my setups. Can't complain.
My double wishbone car , lowered, he doesn't like too much though lol

You'd be the customer I hate with a passion, I wouldnt even do the alignment if you did that at our store LOL.

I wouldnt get paid, it would be a waste of my time to even do it that often. I'd toss it on the rack, throw the heads on and do one measurement and slap it into the green and pull it out.

Thats the spirit!

Mirraco - My advice: go with the lifetime; I've had a good experience with my alignments for the past 5 years. Also, avoid all Firestone locations near Rodgers. When you deal with certain ploitering technicians you may not get what you pay for.
