Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Finalized LIM gasket plans

Correct. It will be hard to turn or may turn then stop

i don't know for sure about the parking brake. It's somethinf I've nver had to deal with. I recall hearing going in reverse and applying the ebrake will reset it. Or wbile driving , apply and release it a few times to free it up.

I mean it can't hurt to try before you take it apart right?

True. I'll sit there and hit it a couple times and see if it makes a difference. If not, I'll try the reverse thing. So you slowly hit the e-brake while moving in reverse? But it sorta sounds like it's in the front. Oh and will the higher idle affect driving? Like will it rev higher or something before it shifts?

Right..I read that about the EGR tube. Hence my suggestion and baked? You need to man up and loosen the nut that holds the tube at the EGR and the bolt under the TB. Both are 13mm. then wiggle the tube out and look where the flange holds it to the lim. I'd bet you have a huge crack in it.

Brakes..if the car will roll on it's own in N, then don't worry. They'll clean themselves up once you drive it again.

No idea how the fronts are messe up. Unless you knocked a dust sheild into the rotor and its hitting it

but not sure why you had the front tires off lol

Wouldn't the car sound louder if there's a crack in it? I'm worried I'll strip the bolt if I pry too hard. How much is a replacement hose? And if that's not it, then what would be next?

No it wouldn't be loud
It's a nut, not a bolt. Turn it counter clockwise and you are ok. Worse case you go get another from a junkyard for $5
I've never bought the tube at a dealer. I think they are approx $20 new. I've always harvested good ones at JY's
Next? I'm confused... I'm 95% sure it's the tube.

Well I will check the tube. Can you take it off without removing the TB? Also on an unrelated note, when I was putting everything back together, I found one small electrical connector and I'm fairly certain it's an extra one, but it's back by the alternator. Its gotta a blue clip and grey weatherproof gasket thing on it. It looked pretty dirty so I'm pretty sure it's extra, but I don't know what it'd go to.

Something also worth mentioning, when I was torquing down the UIM, the bolt would just keep spinning and the torque wrench wouldn't click. It did on some, but with others, I felt like I was tightening the same bolt for longer than it needed. So half of them clicked at 8ft lb, others I let off.

Soooo they are loose?

The problem here exists between the torque wrench and the floor. Plus.. I specifically said not to use 8 ft lbs. (yes..what I say overrides nearly anyone elses suggestions. :th_king-normal:)

I had to finger tighten mine all around before they would catch. Then had to make 2 passes before they all hit 8 ft lbs.

Those 13mm on the egr were a chore on mine. Had to use the long wrench with an extension to get it loose. I did soak it in WD 40 which seemed to help hours later.

No they aren't loose. Just some are at exactly 8ft lb. And 89in lb is half a foot pound away from 8, I think I'm good. That little extra force isn't cause any harm. But I can go back make sure they're all at 8ft lb.

Yeah.. refer the post where I said more than just EGR.

On a plastic manifold .. a half a foot pound might.. cause an issue with vacuum

I guess that makes sense. I sprayed some PB Blaster on the one nut for the EGR so I'll go back out in a bit and give it a go again. If the hose is good, time to live with a naturally high idling car lol.

No..it's not.

I can diagnose your car from here..if you tell me a few things that I need to put the answer together.

I will be 100% impressed if the EGR hose is bad and that you were able to predict it. I didn't move it much when removing and reinstalling it. Maybe I hit it accidentally or something. I tried bending it when first removing the LIM. Do you think I can feel the crack with my hands or are they usually thin cracks?
