Look at it from his point of view, he is selling a service and if tries to fix it and 500 miles later is blows the plug out again, you are going to be pissed and you will want your money back or for him to fix it for real this time. That means a whole new head and labor on his dime.

That head is a total liability to him, he wants it done right or not done at all so it doesnt come to bite him in the ass. I've worked in the auto trade for a few years now, if something like that was infront of me, I would say the same thing as he did. Replace that cylinder head or both so I never have to deal with the car again.

Honesty they probably aren't trying to rip you off, they probably over quoted the job because they didn't want to do it lol. It's how it works. You can say see ya, and get another quote somewhere else. We have done multiple heli coils on them and with luck so far.

Liability is another thing as well, but avoiding the job avoids liability too.

Looks great ,wish mine was so prime! But 8k ice burg blue hids, I have the 10k bright blues in mine lightly smoked lenses cant see jack in the rain! And same with the fogs... 10k bb .. bright but the 8k are way!!! Brighter,.....the led chrome smoked taillights look awesome! Had an issue with left one but got it situated now really bright, completely change the rear end look

Quick update. I think i have potentially figured out the issue. As a few of you know I removed the trans after replacing the master and slave cylinder that did not fix the grinding issue. Upon removal i noticed marks on the inside of the trans casing bringing me to my initial reason of why i removed the trans. The flywheel was over .013 at .853. I went to the machine shop and for piece of mind had him remove .020 for a thickness of .833. Tomorrow morning i should have the car back together.

Yup, always double check other peoples work no matter how reputable they may be. Hopefully nothing was harmed in the process and ill have a good running car tomarrow.

as long as you were not making chop meat as we call it in the trucking world lol aka not grinding and pushing it hard into gear. it should be ok.

if you just felt a chip or a little grind as it was popping into gear it should be ok.

Car no longer grinds while parked but still grinds going into 2nd 3rd 4th. fml

Also took care of a pretty large flex leak from the sd headers. Took 2 years to start leaking though.
