So I was getting out of my car and while I was i heard a pop. Now when I sit in the car the left part of the seat sinks in and is rather uncomfortable. Anyone ever repair them? Could I swap the supports for from the passenger seat to the driver till I fixed it? I have a power and heated driver and a manual non heated passenger if it makes a difference.

Don't repair.

ive ran bailing wire as a repair in my 03 gmc truck, its the same crap support pan and wires that hold the foam up. you need to take the seat cover off then the foam then your at the springs/ wires. i laid a old towel over the wires to keep them from digging into the foam of the seat.

Just thinking id run bailing wire and twist it together at the ends? Figure swapping the passenger side over is out of the question?

you could swap em if the pan is the same, im not sure if they are or not. or theres always the junk yard.

and the bailing wire deal i had 4 out of 8 or ten busted in my truck seat, so i ran the wire back and fourth to re support the whole seat.

my old seat the wires were like a grid and came out, had springs on the back. so i ran the wires in the hooks for the wire grid and then to the hooks in the back.

it was a rig job til i got new springs/ wire thing. it beats sitting in a hole thats for damn sure.

I'm assuming you have a 97-03 so I was referring to the 04-08 seats

Gonna see if the pan will swap in the mean time. Guess ill go to a yard to find a new seat. All I need is for the pan to match right? So my heater and power stuff is its own thing. In other words it could be a seat pan off a cloth manual seat and I'm just putting my power seat/heater/leather on it?

your heater is in the cover, so watch for the wire to it. and the pan from a cloth seat will work. if the foam looks good take that too.

if you find them 04 up seats, make sure you cut both sides of the plugs under the seat so you can wire them up as the plug ends are not the same. theres a how to here. but you need the 04 seats plugs also.
