Who was it that posted about a skirmish with an S4 the other day?



Can't believe that Audi owner was so butt hurt. Kinda nice to know how the other german sport sedan owners I raced and walked felt after staring at my tail lights :D
 
I thought he took it well considering how much the car cost.. lol He seemed to laugh it off after a bit. Heck, if you walked me...I'd be getting my car tuned asap as well.
 
The most upset German car owner was a guy with a newer single turbo 335i (slower than the older twin turbo due to weight and single turbo). He crawled away from me and he was pissed that I kept up with him at all. He started swerving across 4 lanes after we shut down. It was funny.
 


Audi owner buthurt. Paid mucho dinero for his ride and not much speed to show for it.

When he says that his S4 is slightly faster than is old maxima I kinda get the feeling that he's got a little buyer's remorse. As a former maxima owner (bone stock 05') I can say that my moded 00' Bonneville is definitely faster. so it's not really saying much for the S4. w/ a tune, I'm sure he'll get some decent power out it.
 
I like when they called it a POS and that they were ugly. Haha! and backing him up by saying oh well you didn't launch off the line and you weren't hitting the 5k rpms and things like that. Haha!
 
Uh.. guys when I read the post here, the one that raced him said he got the jump etc. I must have read a different thread. I thought the guy took a rattle trap pos (let's not kid ourselves) putting a hurting on a rather pricey car pretty well.
 
Wow, those guys sure think their car is special, "I mean on the surface the thing looked totally stock and the dude driving it didn't look like the type to tune his **** up. Looked like a regular cat who drove the thing cause that's all he could afford."

No wonder his ass is so sore, it was already tore up from the dealership before the gp took a turn. I know I'd certainly be a bit more humble if my car only trapped 97 in the 1/4.
 


I know why I read it differently. Posts on Audi forums are different than this one. People talk about all kinds of stuff like delivery dates on ordered vehicles, credit rating in order to buy X model. It's a different world.
 
I had talked with you about it in the chat, but mine wasn't a real race, I will search for the guy and get a proper race, but I am in TN not CO.
 
I'm fine with people buying fancy cars and having no idea what they can and can't beat, it's the whole, "Omg guize some pos Pontiac that some poor dude was driving because that's all he could afford beat me! Onoez! Wat do?" that bothers me.

This reaction, vs stopping and talking to the guy to see what he has done and maybe learning something, is what separates car guys from, the other guys, I guess. If I were gonna use a car to be snobby, I'd try to make sure it was more than $48k, too. Pathetic.

I agree with this as well, I loved beating maserati's in my Z28 and seeing their reactions to it. Some people care about that kind of stuff and I just care about building something fast, built not bought.
 


You'll be surprised what someone can afford.. I hate those type of guys/girls, not everyone has to showcase their wealth. Financing is one thing.. Show me you own the title to said car I'll give you a slight thumbs up.

Exactly, if I can't buy it with cash then I ain't buying it. Heck if that's the case the wife and I talked about getting a loan for a 2012 CTSV I saw with low miles for about $43k, but that's really fiscally irresponsible. So because i have a jew gene I bought a cheap car that I know is kind of fun, part pain the butt part fun haha.
 
miss a few car notes and that car goes bye bye. I guess I'm not like my peers that seek others approval :( I have a few buddies that are that way... They live their lives just trying to keep up with the McCoy's. Yet have very little left every month after that BMW payment is sent.
