**UPDATE**Vancouver people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill" ?

A couple of members on here have spoken with Will from Overkill and are now in the process of organizing a tuning day in the very near future. If you're interested please list yourself in this post. Once we get enough people we will set out the details.

Check new post at bottom-- time to set date!!

What's involved in doing this? New PCM then reflash it? Is it worth it on a GT that isn't looking for major performance increases? What kind of cost?

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Not to sure about costs yet, I assume that the more who show up- the better the price. This would be for an in-car tune, using your existing pcm. Although it is a good idea to have a back-up stock pcm in case you need to return your car to stock, so getting a 2nd pcm is a good idea. As far as GT tuning, I suppose there is always room for improvement, such as tranny shifting, tuning for different grades of fuel, tuning for better mileage. Hopefully someone with a tuned GT can chime in with better info for you or try contacting Will thru his "Overkill" site http://www.getoverkilled.ca/3800sc.html

I, for one, will say that getting a tune from Will is worth it if you are N/A. I like the improved shifts, better MPGs, and the tuning out of several codes like P0420 so I can run my cat-less DP. The interesting thing about his tune is that it pays for itself and then some when it gives you better MPGs. I also like how my fans come on right after I shut off the car to cool down the engine and when I floor it on the highway, the a/c shuts off so you don't lose power lol.

Good info guys, thanks. I am very interested; subscribing for details.

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Hey guys!

We'll definitely do a tune day or two on the mainland, 100%, and I look forward to it.

I know that my November is going to be swamped. We're closing on our new house in Nanaimo next week and it needs painting inside, tile floors in the bathrooms and I need to set up my new office (ordered IKEA kitchen cabinets and a butcherblock top to create a desk with lots of storage and work space, going to be awesome). This'll be in conjunction with business as usual (50-100 emails/day etc).

I'd really be interested in doing this in the new year, as early as decent weather provides. You guys will be better judges of that, when would be good? It's been raining here in Parksville/Qualicum for 2+ weeks straight, but I assume that's normal for the fall here? How's the weather in February/March by comparison? I assume the spring time is equally wet?

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

I'm good for after the new year, cause you never know what Santa might be leaving you under the tree! Weather is pretty much hit and miss around this time of year, but it shouldn't be a problem getting a nice boost-inducing cold sunny weekend to meet up on.

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Damnit! I just google mapped Nanaimo BC and now Will is 3k miles away from me. FvCK!

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Sorry bout that! If I moved any further west I'd need a house that floats.

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Ya I wish you were closer, I need someone to fix my tune.

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

I will be there.Looking forward to a in-car tune from Will

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Update!! Looks like tuning date is going to be moved back a bit to May. Hopefully, that gives everyone clear roads to get to Vancouver, and gives you some extra times to get those mods on!

Re: Vancouver lower mainland people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill"

Holy crap...it's May!!! I guess it's time to get organized, so if you're still interested put your name in with dates that work for you. At this point I'd say were looking at the end of May, I think it's a little too late to try for the Victoria Day long weekend. I'm ok with pretty much any weekend until mid June.

Re: **UPDATE**Vancouver people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill" ?

Count me in SugarYuk, I have sent you a PM with my contact info, end of May beginning of June works for me, lets get er done :)

Re: **UPDATE**Vancouver people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill" ?

I'm on the fence now as summer is when I have minimal free time. I will keep sub'd to this thread to see what the date(s) might be. If I can, I will attend.

Re: **UPDATE**Vancouver people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill" ?

Hopefully we can get this done ASAP as it would be great to actually meet WILL and not just be a mail order Tune, almost like a mail order bride!

Re: **UPDATE**Vancouver people---Who's interested in getting tuned by "Overkill" ?

What the hell? Did everybody sell their gp's? This kinda sucks, looks like interest in this has nosedived since we first talked about it back in October. I was hoping Will might chime in, I saw that he's organizing a tune day in Toronto in the next week or two and he got a really good response. Seems pointless to have a tuning day for just 2 of us, so unless this post get a little more support soon, I would suggest that maybe we let Will take over if he wants to and set something up instead.
