Engine 'cuts out' when i pass people?

missboosted

I can't nessacerily say it's cutting out, but when I go to pass people, so quick acceleration, my SC kicks in but acts as if it's cutting out? It's not just bogging down either. And last night at a stoplight I pressed the gas like I normally would, and it took a quick second to actually go. I've never had this problem before!

The only things I can think of would be a fuel filter, and plugs? Just had my mass air flow replaced two months ago.

Any ideas guys? Or any similar situations?
I really appreciate the help!

Clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. If this is gummed up it can cause some issues, and since it's a fairly easy process, there's no reason not to try. There should be a how-to floating around.

Where in MN are you?

Also, provide detail about what you are driving so the more knowledgeable people can help - model, year, modifications, recent maintenance, etc.

Switched to this forum, so that's my fault, just so used to everyone knowing what I drive in the previous one!
I drive a bone stock 2000 GTP. She's my daily beater 😁

I'll was thinking that as an option too, guess I'll have to stop and get some before the weekend here.

But I'm in the Twin Cities.

Possible spark plug/wire issue aswell, might be misfiring.

Maybe even a clogged exhaust from a bad converter, but that's not as common.

I'm from the rogers area, so not that close to cities.
