Hi everyone. I just got a 2006 GXP with 126,000 miles on the clock. I read that I need a stand alone tranny cooler and I'm going to contact TEP for their kit. What else do I need to do to save the tranny? Shift kit? Part # please? Any other engine or tranny fixes or mods that are a MUST? I don't want to make it faster so I'm not going to mod the crap out of it. I like it like it is and just want it to be reliable and last a long time. Thanks so much.
 


you can get the shift kit from tep, it comes with everything you will need to do the job. I'm not sure what parts in the GXP transmission are prone to failure, but a standard rebuild from TEP will run about 1800 and is worth the peace of mind you will get by knowing your transmission wont implode.

I will contact TEP for a shift kit. Thank you. Ever done one? What's involved and is it very hard? Thanks
 
Yes, a flashed ECM.

These cars you tune the PCM.

You can have someone that has HPTuners to do that.
