Rear Window Defroster Help

Ok, a few lines on the rear window defroster of my 07 GXP didn't work when I bought. I found out after the purchase :(

No big deal, I repaired the 3 lines that didn't work before I took it for window tint. I forgot to tell my tint guy and he knocked the repair paint off when tinting. I should have told him.

I have finally had time to strip the tint and repair the lines again so I can have it retinted. When doing the repairs I have been paying closer attention and it appears the lines on the passenger side don't work nearly as well as the driver side and the middle is somewhere in between, but the middle works fine and is almost as good as the drivers side. When checking the voltage on the lines the drivers side is 12v and the middle is like 10v-11v, but the passenger side is much lower. I can't recall exactly. I can't find a specific cause. Has anyone else noticed this or had this problem. Is there a solution for this? Is that typical of these cars?

I have some broken lines on the grid since I had to get the old tint from 2004 off since it had dried badly. 4 lines does not work and the sides are weak. Eh. Easiest fix would be to replace the whole back glass.

I was trying to avoid that, but for $200 that might just be the way to go.
