Challenger Hellcat

They are fun, a buddy of mine owns a shop on Southern CA that does performance LSX stuff most of the vettes he does now are close to if not above 4 digit whp cars, he let me drive his shop C6 Z once and it was a blast, some head work on it, E85 and a custom grind cam, I had nicknamed it the Jester vette it had an evil laugh I will see if I can find a video on youtube of it, I think he only has the CMS silver shop vette video up.

*EDIT*

Here is the video of his car at the 1/2 mile air strip attacks a couple years back, not a good audible of the car, but it was pretty quick.

My cousin is looking to sell his original 1970 Chellenger RT original 440 magnum car with the original motor and trans in it but they are built and he put down about 75x whp through a 200 direct port setup. I told him it is a dumb idea the Hell cat is not that impressive, for the most part my old Z28 was literally cam only (not cam and spray that's hardly cam only lol I love some of the ls community guys they are just as bad as the cobra guys) would run with them at the track and I only had maybe $18k into the car and it still had AC and was my daily.

Is the hellcat cool? Yeah I am glad dodge joined in and finally brought something to the table, would I ever buy one? Nope, I would buy a couple year old GT500 and throw a whipple and supporting mods on it and leave a hellcat in the dust and still have had $40k left over. I ideally would want a newer Z28 to go road course racing, but I would take a GT500 for sure, especially since they are damn comfortable for my stupid tall self.

I have no idea what you just said. But hell yeah, I guess.

Should I break it down for you into a pop up book? Haha

LSx guys will say "cam only" when obviously its supporting mods and cam, and in your case cam and supporting mods with nitrous. Cobra guys (4.6 mod motors with eatons) do the same thing too, "It's just a cobra with bolt-ons" but that means a whipple, headers, full exhaust, tune, small upper and over sized lower making over 600rwhp.

My cousin has a very nice mostly original 1970 Challenger he was thinking of selling to buy a hellcat, I told him that they are not nearly as great as his current Challenger since the Z28 I just sold was running close to the same times as them, and my Z28 was a cam only car with supporting mods (headers, full exhaust, built auto, 3800 stall converter, gears...)

Then I commented on the car I would rather have given the choice of any of the newer performance muscle cars available.

Does that work better for you?

Banter well taken :) But turbos are for pu$$ies ;)

I like efficiency, reusing your spent energy to create more is an efficient use in my book, but power is power not matter how you make it.

I may not have done a huge wheelie but about an inch and a half on a daily driver is pretty legit in most peoples books. Damn I miss this car something fierce, oh well new project under way.

Well done I would say. That's enough air to get things done; It's taken me several years to get the wife's car to do just that on DRs. Anyone who sneezes at a 6.00 car that is DD capable has missed the boat. And lest we mention sh!tty leather and a/c. Haha!

Yeah that was my baby, I sold her in December, I am one of those Christian fellas and just felt that it was too much of a distraction, I had an LQ block set aside and was getting ready to rebuild a 4l80 in the garage here. Shooting for a t6 flanged 88mm turbo on a 370ci LQ, I was looking to get a MWC fab 9 for it, but again just felt that it was a distraction. I would love to have a race car right now but I can wait a few years and build one, which is good since we are at the beginning of the adoption process and I would rather spend $20k on that than a car, I have had more than enough fun already.

To my knowledge he is the only LSx guy here with the DOESWHEELIES Mod
What about a fox body guy with DOESWHEELIES MOD
Sorry for low quality picture

Is it a 302 in that fox? I am putting together a carb'd 351W in a buddies fox plus a nice nitrous setup with a C6 behind it, should be a fun money maker when we get it done.

It's a stroked 351 410w truck block at the time it had a c4 with transbrake.
I swapped a t56 magnum about 3 years ago into it. And right now finishing up a complete overhaul with a dart blocked 410w afr 225 heads 248/261 @.050 cam trick flow box intake and a vortech ysi

I 100% support your choices, but with regards to distractions I do not agree. God allows us our toys, and wants us to enjoy them. Don't let the fear of Gods frown keep you from the hobby. Trust me, He is a car guy too.

I'm hoping for 700-800 at the tire on pump gas and hopefully even more with meth.
