• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

reading kr

if your stock your gonna see some kr. its normal and ok.

but once modded you dont want any kr.

i had 8* kr stock. 1.95 rockers and a u bend delete made the car kr free with out a tune. once the headers and 3.4 went on tuning had to happen.

Not to say scotty is wrong but a few of us recently bought an elm that didn't work with our cars. The adapter that worked for us was the BAFX on amazon/ebay for $23. If you need the link PM me and ill get back to you

I'm not sure why it posted twice my bad. So on a stock other than a pcm kr is ok. Would you notice any difference if you got it lower or eliminated?

you will. rockers, down pipes, u bend deletes, headers all kill off KR with out a tune.

when you have kr the timing gets pulled down to save the engine. no kr the timing stays up and you can feel it pull harder. of course this all depends on how much kr your seeing. like i said, i was at 8*, timing was cut to 7 from 15.

Sorry for sort of semi bringing this thread back to life but I just had a quick question. On my 04 NA I am looking at around 5-6* of KR. I see that KR on cars that are stock is normal but was just wondering how much KR is fine until you should be concerned? And also would NA and supercharged have a different range as far as how much KR is normal for each?
