Was out last nite on a run and i notice that my amps where flicking, so i pulled over to look at them and behold my 0 gauge ground wire was half way out the distributon block ....so like a fool i go and grab it to pull it out(didnt disconnect the battery) and it sparks up on its way out inside the block.....so then i disconnect the battery, put the ground back it, battery back on....goto start the car...nothing but clicks .....battery reads 12volts .....lights and everything else comes on just no action from the starter.....my check engine light as already been on due to a huge vacuum leak in my intake gasket in the back side i been waiting to get fixed......so wen im turning the key the engine light flashes now...i turn and hold the key and the engine flashes until i let off the turn .....as for the starter wires ...i burned up the fusible link a year ago and replaced it with a audio fuse ...got under there checked it was blown some what(still unsure cause it didnt pop in the middle, it was dark out, but i shaked it and it was making noise) i replaced it with the one for my sound system......i check almost all the fuses only one that was blown was the O2 ssr fuse

so im at i turn the key, and doesnt crank at all, just clicks wat sounds like the pcm....then the starter a lil ....then 3 or more clicks are in the fuse box in that order.......im going out this morning to try again ...but im totally lost with this one....help!!!!! plz:th_depressed::th_depressed::th_depressed:

If the starter solenoid is clicking, but the engine isn't turning, I would either suspect a dead battery (enough power to kick the starter but not turn the engine) or a dead starter.

(I'm not sure what "just clicks wat sounds like the pcm" means, and honestly your whole post is kinda hard to follow.)

And if the starter is clicking, but not giving the "click-click-click" sound of a dead battery, I suspect the starter.

If the starter isn't clicking at all, then I would suspect the canbus system - try disconnecting the battery for 15+ minutes then reconnecting. A reset might help a computer problem.

yea i was really wordy and all over the place but i did what you said and smacked on the starter with a hammer and it turned on .....thanks for the guidence

google for your local starter and alternator re builders. most of the time they are cheaper then the parts store.

i just did a starter a while back. all i got was a click in the dash, not on the starter. thats how you know its dead these days. smack with a hammer it would turn again.
