• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Short, but satisfying.

So, each day I leave to head to class around 8 in the morning. Occasionally I would see some guy in a blacked-out 04 Mitsubishi eclipse doing the whole "highway warrior" traffic weaving thing on my way. About a month ago, I see him doing his usual routine in my rear view mirror and I don't think anything of it. I take the next exit which leads to a 2 lane road with a stop light not far away and I see the eclipse behind me. As expected, he accelerates and flies past me toward the light, which turned red. The interesting thing with this road is that the speed limit is only 35 and it merges into a SINGLE lane about 500 feet after the light. We were both stopped at the light and I knew that he would gun it to try and beat me to this merge. The light turns green and we both hit it at the same time. He immediately pulls about a car and half ahead while I'm roasting the hockey pucks known as my tires. As soon as I hook up, I easily flew past him just in time to beat him to the merge. I ended up doing about 60 in this 35 zone and promptly slowed down to an appropriate 40. Instead of getting mad, he gave me the thumbs up and we continued on our way to our respective destinations. :th_thumbsup-wink:

The moral of the story is not to brag about beating a crappy eclipse, but rather to share the defeat of Mr. Road Warrior by a slow Grand Prix. :)

It's even better on a liter sportbike, not only do you win, but by the time they hit 60 you're not even visible to them anymore at all. Then you shift into 2nd.

It's better still when a liter bike experiences that same treatment by a full weight car.

Would love to see a vid of said full weight street legal car that can disappear from a 140+ trapping bikes view before it hits 60 mph. Lmao, is strapping a rocket engine to a car legal?

my brothers old chevelle took a ninja 800 or something back in the day. ( was what ever was just under the 1000) guy on the bike was real mad lol cause he was following the whole time.

I bet, lol. Corvette guys get pretty excited when they lose to things they're not supposed to as well. Bottom line, don't race if you can't properly operate your vehicle.

There plenty of cars capable of handing a liter bike his ass. Not on this forum really, but spend some time on svt, and those races pop up fairly frequently.

Handing the rider his ass, sure, but not the bike. Dropping this now, too much threadjackage already.

Have you never heard of tx2k???? There are many many cars that will do that. Yes the rider has much to do with it. But line up a 2000 hp lambo or gtr and the outcome is a pissed off bike.
