• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

HV3 Knowledge - Let's learn something

The difference between an L26 and L36 is the extra notch (i believe for the PCV system) on the side. The L36 has it and the L26 does not. I'll take a pic of my L26 in my attic when I get home. I do know mine is red.

Well if you look at the picture, especially the first one, you'll see the sides are a little skinnier

Could someone make a write up for those (like myself) that are not confident enough to do something like this without some direction?

You just need to remove some runner material, thereby decreasing their height. Take the tops and glue them back onto the bottom of the runner piece. And boom, custom HV3.

Probably just a different mold.

I can't see rounded vs angled edging making a ****s lick of difference on a manifold style like that anyways. I ran no insert in my GT, a DIY HV3, and the L26 HV3 in my L26 UIM setup.

I noticed no difference between the DIY to the ZZP version...and I honestly noticed only a smidge better top end by putting the insert in there vs. not even running one.
DIY hv3? youve got my undivided attention mate. :th_question1:

Well I can hack 1 inch off the top. ok and done? Won't it sit too far up in the intake now?
And this I don't understand
You hack the top of the runners off.

Glue them back together after cutting them down to an inch or so in height.

The end.
So cut the piece off and glue it back? lol
