ihave a 98 gp 3.8 n/a i was doing body work today and had the hood up and noticed the motor wasnt sitting wright, grabed the motor and it moved foward about 4 inchs very easy, the car is a daily driver, stock for now and stock hight, what mounts should i go with? and i read the shorter wish bones will increase oil pressure some how, should i go with them?

Any new motor mount will do. Most of us prefer a solid rubber mount instead of a fluid filled mount. Autozone or advanced sells them I think.

And moving the motor forward can't increase oil pressure. Stop and think about it in real life for a second, how can the placement of a motor make a mechanical part any more efficient. The pick up tube will always be under oil and thats all it needs.

I have lower motor mounts to do as well. Do you have specific part numbers for mounts that are actual solid rubber? I keep reading about people buying mounts advertised as solid, but were actually fluid filled or hollow.

my engine was sitting sideways in the bay, it would flop all over back and fourth when shifted in and out of gear. new lower motor and trans mounts fixed it.

my old motor mount. nothing left to it.

Mines not side ways but tilts forward very east. but i probly will replace it all. how bad is it to do the lower? Sorry to ask so much but this is my first w body and can't afford to mess up anything as its my dd. and plus i use to be into the jdm crap so my mind is filled with fixing honda junk lol

i made my own solid mounts. cause you cant really tell whats really solid or whats got oil filled.

i drilled two holes in the mounts, drained, then blew the fluid out, let it dry, then filled the mounts with p and l construction adhesive. then let them cure for like a week. i smeared the p and l over the top cause i got a good oil leak from the pan that leaks on my mount and kills it.

Very nice work, I like what you did with your mounts. I've seen other guides for filling mounts as well. I will go this route if necessary, it would just be nice to have a real solid rubber option from the manufacturer so I don't have to mess around with filling/waiting.

the ones in the install thread look to be zzp mounts, those should be solid.

i got my last set there form a member for dirt cheap, like two for one deal. so i just drilled and filled em. they do make the car vibrate like a muther tho. so if your not into a bunch of vibrations when stopped in gear, pass on solid.

sweet thanks for that link this will be easier then i thought, think i may get some liquid filled mounts and fill them air craft sealer or liquid nail, or maybe some poly ones from zzp

I always giggle a little when you guys say you made "solid" mounts.

To me these are solid mounts
