Ok so I have my car lowered and i'm using mount spacers and i was using shorter dog bones, that made it perfect but then i put the full size intercooler on and i had clearance issues.

I put cradle spacers on but still couldn't fit shorter dog bones. I just got billet stock bones but the vibration is still there just a Little. would adding another set of cradle spacers even help?
Provided I could even fit them.

ok , so i wanted to put my shorter dogbones in, so i was dropping the subframe again to put big washers in to space it. seemed like a great idea, but then when i go to rock my engine forward to get the bolt in, im just about a half inch too short

im wondering why i cant pull the engine forward enough to fit shorter dogbones, its like i can only reach in the middle of what the reg one is and the shorter one is. my headers arent hitting the fan or anything so im confused. do you tink if i take the cradle spacers out from the rear i will be able to? im thinking its because of the spacers in the rear but im unsure so far

does dropping the subframe in rear prevent you from rocking engine more forward? if thats the case ill take the cradle spacers out from the rear.......................

I keep saying it. So I will post it here.

Ditch the shorter dogbones...immediately
Ditch the cradle spacers
Ditch half of the motor mount spacers...run a half set of those.

Add washers to hood to give enough lift to fit everything.

If you are dropped on Intrax...then ditch those and put on SSCs. No one needs a full set of spacers unless you are on coilovers. We all/most had a little vibration under hard acceleration, you will never cure that, but the idea was not to kill axles with a half set of spacers.

Probably your 02 sensor hitting the tunnel thats why u cant rock motor forward all the way..o2 barley clears on stock dog bones.

OHHHHHHH, **** i never thought of that. I bet you are right. I think i am ditching the cradle spacers and getting spacers to lift the hood. it will prob look cooler that way. I am going to either shove washers in to give more height on the trans and mount spacers or just get some made at my truck parts place, because i was unaware i needed to sandwich the mounts , instead i put a set on the bottom. So im guessing that will solve the problem of vibration.

Update: it was not the 02 sensor, it was the fan on the driver side. I got the mount spacers under the mount on the driver side. Im not sure how the passenger one works. I m not sure you sandwich that side. I might try sticking some washers in there to see what it does. The top of it has a mount spacer on it already, it was a pita to take out but now im making sure its done right.

This.

Shorter dogbones ruin lower mounts and cradle spacers cancel out the mount spacers. Run regular dogbons and half set of spacers. Let me know if you need more help. I'm giving free shipping on the spacers until January 2nd.

Your inbox is full. so here is what i wrote. Mine is available for messages after clearing my inbox and sent messages to get it to go through.

Thanks for your help. Where can i get a set of these half set of spacers? are these the half set of vinnie spacers everyone talks about? how are they different or better than running zzp mount spacers? i think zzp ones are 5/16. are yours thicker? if so i could see that would benefit. you are also suggesting to get rid of cradle spacers and just lift the hood up more with washers right? Will that look odd or do most people think it looks cooler that way? Thanks again for your help. I would like to order a set of these spacers if i could get more info on how they are better than what i am running plus how much they cost and where to send money to. thanks

I'll keep the info in the thread instead of PM.

The ZZP spacers are thicker than mine, but they are too thick. Did you see how many threads you were able to get the nut tightened down on? It usually isnt many. Mine are top and bottom mounts, 3/8" thick but they go on the top and bottom for 3/4" overall lift.

The problem you're going to run into the was you were thinking is ruining the CV joints and having to buy new shafts all the time.

I'd rather the hod be spaced with washers than keep replacing the shafts. Any washers will work but I like stainless, esp since you're in CO. You'll just put them in between the hood and the hinge, you'll figure it out as soon as you look at it.

Ditch the cradle spacers for sure. Shorter dogbones, it's up to you but I don't like how they pull on the lower mounts. I can sell you the half set of spacers for $30 shipped because I'm taking off shipping until after the new year. my PayPal info is [email protected]

I'm lowering my Regal GS on Vogtlands. Should I use a full or half-set of spacers. I hope you are still making them. If so how soon can I get some?

Vinnie hasn't logged in since July. I think SgtMarshall had a complete set of Vinnie spacers for sale though.

I do have a full set of vinny spacers for sale. I don't have any pictures, and they are used, so not in perfect shape but they will get the job done just fine. I'd like to get 50 plus shipping and PayPal fees.

I cleared out my inbox; I didn't realize it was full.

I always recommend buying the full set you you have the flexibility in the future if your needs change.
