The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Yeah would be interesting to see if some people actually got the fe3 struts...unless a design has changed I have never had a new strut have less resistance then the old one
I installed my closeout ones in July, with DNA springs, and have about 2k miles on them. Just ran out and checked the sticker, 10386996 on the strut. I still have the boxes, says ACDELCO 10386996 506623. Worth noting that it isn't an ACDELCO security sticker like the boxes for my fronts came it, just has a generic printed black and white label. 10386996 is NOT the GM number for the rears. As you've noticed the only place that number exists is GPF and that one post from 2008 on that other forum.
The rears feel stiffer than the FE2s I had... but I'm going to believe that is all from the DNA springs...
The real deals(??!!) shipped.
Should be here friday. I'll post pics of the closeouts and AcDelcos.
At this stage I am hoping there is a noticeable difference from the push/pull test and the FE3s haven't been compromised
Yeah I have named them fefails lol...my fronts also came nicely packaged from gm...rears came from somewhere else...if spazz gets legit fe3 then I'll prob contact them and work something out
BTW, I got my Vogtlands from the same guy wa04comp did. Only took 4 days to get here though.
Got my REAL FE3s today too. The one HUGE difference is the real ones extend fully and stay extended. The fake ones try to stay in the middle. You can extend them all the way by hand and the shaft slowly goes back to the middle, same with pushing them all the way down. Definitely not as claimed.
