Bill, Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't GP's the only car that got the new transmission stuff after 04? or are 04 and newer bonneville/impala/monte trans also different than the 97-03?
 
If you are looking to buy one. Posting in the wanted section would be the proper place.

If you are looking for advice on how to find a trans.. check car-part.com enter the info then for the vehicles.. check the ones I listed and years I listed. Often you can find $100 trans with 100K or less
