• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

e85 driveability?

The driveability of E85 better be good, otherwise that extra 30 minute trip to the one station with E85 (for some of us, obviously not for everyone) is going to get old really fast... lol

The term "need" is kinda being used liberally for tranny stuff. You dont "need" to do any tranny work in order to run those numbers, but the chances of breaking something increases with power. Not saying you shouldn look into it as you should... but know you can run fine on the stocker as long as you dont drive like a jackass.

now if you do end up going to the turbo type stuff... thats a whole new story.

I only have a shift kit in mine and haven had a problem yet (knock on wood).

You could listen to this guy and then be breaking it later and without a car. You have the labor free... use it.

98ChainStretcher broke his trans with a 2.8 setup, some other guy broke his input shaft on the 1-2 shift right after he finished tuning.... Your building the car to drive it. So drive it.

Personally I didnt build one right away beacsue of A) Money B)Time but now I went crazy and build a hell of a trans

I drove around for almost 2 years on a stock tranny, whacking it with 400-550whp daily.
Took it like a champ.

Built the **** out of my trans and blew a sprag within 2000 miles.

In my situation, I have two other cars that i can drive, this wont be my daily driver, it will see a fair share of use, but if i blow something, i can wait till i can get to the junkyard and get a replacement. Not saying its the best strategy, but if it blows im disappointing but not up a creak without a car
