e85 swap questions

Okay, back on topic for a second...

Assuming someone does the 42.5 injectors because they can't tune, is there any advantage to doing a hard reset on the PCM once the e85 is in the system? Or just drain tank, swap injectors, fill with corn gas and go?

Good question.

The answer is not really... you mostly just want to take it easy and roll into about 40% throttle a bunch of times before you get carried away with hard core racing.

Being that E85 was never in my car modding future i can say that this has to be the best engine mod for this car pound for pound! Im currently on a stock pump but upgrading to a aem pump this week because of my pulley swap and i'll drop from a 3.0 to a 2.8 by that time i saw 5* of knock on my Cammed/ Heads /Header/ Genv /3.0 Pulley setup driving the car now i have no knock!

Let me guess...... Runs a hell of a lot better now that it ever did with a (worthless) intercooler too huh!?

If you don't have an aeroforce get one before you even think of modding any further than whats in your sig...........

My aeroforce always set to monitor knock on top and either air fuel/timing/boost on the bottom.

Yup. I have one. Did that before anything else. I could put that in my sig. Mine is set to cyclic scan and the lights to come on at 3° of KR. I don't see the lights near as much since headers and CAI.

I get that you won't see the maximum benefit out of e85 without a tune. But it sounds like for those of us without a tuner (yet) the ease of the swap with the admitted limited benefits make it still worth doing.

Pretty much all the vendors sell the lucas 42lb-ers FWIW... ZZP/Wbody store are about the same price. Whoever is cheaper I guess. I've had great customer service from both companies.
