I had a darn squeak coming from the rear of the interior of the car that took me months to figure out, it was a very high pitch squeak that had no rhyme of reason to it, but would make noise on the smallest bumps, yet be quit on the big bumps. The solution is dumbfounding.
When I go over bumps it sounds like someone is throwing a wrench into a drawer full of wrenches
Wow.. you GP guys got it rough. Maybe you should buy Regals.. we don't get noises. :th_lipssealed1:
Most likely a tensioner, and the water pump is easy to replace. Move coolant res, so you have more room, remove belts, unbolt power steering pump and just set aside, keep lines attached, remove water pump pulley, remove water pump. Assemble in reverse. It's so simple even a caveman could do it.I got this failing bearing noise coming from my engine under 2-4k rpm while in drive, it cant be heard on idle or if I rev the engine. Dont know if its one of the idler, or tensioner pullies or worse a failing waterpump bearing. Changing the tensioner or idler pullies is easy, but a water pump is a pain to change. I hope its an idler on tensioner pully, but its not loud enough to isolate the noise, its annoying as **** though. Been putting on the radio for now to drown out the noise, maybe when it eventually gets louder so I can isolate the noise and can change the part.
