Want to run an intercooler but not sure of supporting mods

I am putting a 3.8 supercharged in my 88 fiero gt and I am concerned about supporting mods to avoid KR. It will be 3" exhaust no cat. I would like to run a 3.0 pulley. already have the plog and ported rear manifold colder plugs etc... I have heard about 1000 people tell me different things. Realistically I would like to run an XPZ cam and I know that requires differnt springs and pushrods. Please let me know if anyone has done this and let me know what you did to make it work. Thank you

you dont have to run a cam and all to use a ic and smaller pulley. how small of a pulley you can use is dictated by the kr your getting and if it can be tuned out or not, if not bigger pulley.

the safe way is to work form larger to smaller to find the one that your car runs best at.

this is why you see people selling pulleys all the time. you need like 3 them to play with if you want to get real small. cam will help get you smaller. one may be good for winter but not summer so you could be switching 2 of them pulleys around come winter time.

Cam moves alot more air in my opinion so can pulley down alot farther with just a cam then just a intercooler

Cam will make a lot more power, but you could probably run around a 3.2 with exhaust mods and IC. 2.55-2.8 range with ic and cam and exhaust mods depending on fuel.

I know. But i said IC and headers. Not cam and Headers. but yeah if he just wants a 3.0 a cam might be better in a fiero. Not sure how you would mount your heat exchanger in there.. might need a couple pumps if its going all the way up front
