So i was going into town to get blank cds, got half mile from my house and i noticed smoke, so i pulled over, and noticed i leaked all my coolant out, seen one of my coolant elbows was just gone, so i run and get the coolant elbow, then hop in my 01 gt with my system in it, and go drop the parts off at the car with bad coolant elbow.

on the way back, the subs turned off, i was confused because the amp was still on, i then pulled into my garage a half mile from the car with bad coolant elbow was at, and then noticed a little smoke coming from system, i turned car back on and noticed that the amp started smoking like crazy, so i threw water on it and then pulled the system out.

Disconnected the battery cable and opened the windows in my garage, i still smell like the electrical smoke a couple hours later..

Finally got the coolant elbow in and drove car home, was overheating a little, thermostat was stuck and radiator needs more coolant.

I decided on staying home for the night is best bet, otherwise i might just blow a tranny or some crazy stuff will happen, today just kind of sucks

yes of course, i first thought with the coolant elbows that my car was on fire, then when my system started smoking, i was like the hell???? my cars on fire, so i threw that water on it and tore that system out.

Lucky me, i wasted a good 1000$ system setup.

Might just have to sell my high output alt tho,
 
i should be able to get a good 250$ for my two alpine type rs, then i bought a 300$ high output alt that i never put on the car, sell that too..could be worse i guess. both cars are fine i dont think i messed any of my wiring up in my 01 gt, and the 04 gt needs coolant and a good bleed and it should be ready to go. i might just sell my 04 gt for like 4000-4500. i only bought it for 2300 on monday, have roughly 2400 total after gas and coolant elbows into it. easily fetch a good 4000$ for it.
