Whats up everyone I just bought a 97 gtp with 43k miles. Its a bit of a coincidence because I already owned a 97 gtp about 8 years ago and I was in the market for a car right now and just happen to come across another one. Here she is...

Theres one small issue. Every once In a while I hear pretty loud random popping sounds coming from what seems to be one or both of the rear speakers. I think it might be the amp. Is this a common problem? any idea on how to fix it?(The car has a cassette player which I will replace with a cd player soon will that fix it?)

I think this was for sale on here....
Edit: Nice car though. And SUPER low miles. Makes me feel like mine has high miles lol.

Yes it is possible it was for sale on here. The PO said he was getting tips and info from online forums about the car so...

It was. There was one for sale in Vegas with 43000-ish miles now that I remember. Any plans for the car?

Yep, I just checked the for sale adds and its already marked as sold. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threads/91927-1997-Red-GTP-43-800-original-miles-5000-OBO.
My plans for the car are to use it as a daily driver. (I also have a wr250x street legal supermoto bike).
I just want to do a few small mods here and there to make the car a little more enjoyable. I will also need to install a cd player and keep the steering wheel controls if possible (any good recommendations?) I would like the correct size to fill the radio hole without a size adaptor (1.5 din radio size) and some better speakers. (I need to fix the popping sound I mentioned in my original post)
Oh and also the heads up display will not move up and down would that be the switch or the motor the moves it?
