• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My '05 V - Summer mode engaged

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

why? it's colder than TR55 and i don't need colder plugs. i'll be barely making any power over stock at this point.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

no ****, eh?

i'm also debating just buying the TR5IX (iridiums, pre-gapped at .040") so i don't have to change them as often. i can't say i'm ever gonna run this car super, super hard anyway. that's not what it's meant for.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

Tr6'Sorry are far from over kill, especially on higher compression LS motors. TR6 is a great all year all around plug that wont affect any aspect of drive ability and allow for more timing to be added when itS tune time..

Same plug I run and a **** load of others..

Snicker dee doo dah.

Again...this is a forum, if I'm wrong please explain so maybe I can redo my setup or others can learn if there searching for a answer.... If youre gonna just be a troll or a internet parrot then by all means keep doing so.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

i don't think the TR6 are necessary for any kind of stock heads/cam setup at all. that being said, you want to run the hottest spark possible without causing detonation and i don't see how running a colder plug would benefit me on a basically stock car. it wouldn't make any sense that i'd be able to run more timing just because of a set of spark plugs at this stage in the game.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

why the delco plug, nick? cheaper?

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

You realize ac delco plugs are made by ngk ...

And to other point your factory heat range isn't always best..I fully understand have the hottest plug you can get away with. And ultimately its on you to decipher through the interwebz from people who had both plugs and review the data. Remember these are still projected tipped plugs. I could understand something like br7ef plugs being too cold for your mods.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

Still a longevity thing...With me being sideways stupidity...I'd rather not change the plugs often...unlike the 3800 that took me all of ten minutes, or your V that probably has ignorant amounts of engine bay room...especially would be a cake walk with the manifolds out.

Go with whatever, it's your car...I'm not trying to steer you one way or the other just stating what I've seen that's common or what has been proven to work. I'd venture to think upgrading the wires would make more of a difference than NGK this or ACD that...but that's me.

As for specific price, I never looked at the TR55's, as I only ever ran AL's in the GTP. I know the 41-110's run on average about $6~ a plug.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

i can't say mine has stupid amounts of room, either.

remove a couple things and it becomes easier, though.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

It'd have more room if you wouldn't keep all those drunk babies hanging around.

I'll just troll. I have zero time for you juvenile goobs who spout your internet gained intelligence.
