Can't find GXP Struts

Good day everyone,
I'm currently in need of some rear struts for my 06 GXP. I've been searching the past month for either the HD or Comfort Series Bilsteins with no luck. I can't even locate the AC Delco replacement 505-549. I've tried Rockauto as my last resort and still came up empty. Rockauto showed the 505-549 for the rear, but when I proceeded to add them to my cart, it automatically removed them and said they were currently unavailable. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong. Does anyone know of a stocking source for either the Bilsteins or the AC Delcos?

They dont make them anymore, I think bilsteins can re valve them or have some made or something but it costs a butt load.

I inquired a while back about rebuilding my oem Bilsteins and was told no for some odd reason. I guess they cam rebuild the HD and Comfort, but not the oem. I'm at a total loss on what to do. I'd rather not used something like Monroe or KYB.
 
Maybe you can find a junked GXP in a JY with low miles or something and take those. Are yours shot I take it.

I don't know near as much as you guys about GP's since this is my first one, but there are lots of rear struts for the 06 on ebay. A lot of them are quick install free shipping lifetime warranty on some. Just saying. Rockauto eats you up on shipping.
 


Bilstein discontinued them. The stock GXP can't be rebuilt cheaply! I posted the email from Bilstein in another thread.
 
Binding and popping is a strut mount issue..

Edit: in your case for the rears it'd be a sway bar bushing/endlink

There are people who can rebuild crimp tops. In fact I suggested one in the same thread that you posted that email.

Monroes brand new will ride like worn out Bilsteins. They're better, but they're costly, and discontinued.

Well I'd sell my extra set of GXP struts but I'm converting them into coil overs to sell
