Just use a crescent wrench or channel locks. If you have a 1-1/16ths wrench (doubt it) then use that

This^ we've been dwelling on this for what like 2 days take 5 min to change. Just do it. Or bill will come over here.
Also yes the filter just pops out, sometimes the little metal collar thing sticks in the transmission when it does I just reuse it if its snug when putting the new filter back in,

cause you squeeze the handles and turn them, let off and spin it, the wrench you need to take it off and flip the wrench over and over again, and you only get like 1/4 turn form each wrench turn.
channel locks are the easiest way to remove it.......DONT MAKE ME HAVE Billboost37 COME OVER HERE AND STRAIGHTEN YOU OUT!!! LOL
use the channel locks before the dumb sensor blows out all the way and you run out of oil with out knowing it.
Don't waste your money on a shift kit, get a tune
