Tony Stewart Sprint Car Accident kills fellow driver.

As said, Stewart never even made contact with the kid's car. The kid wrecked. He wanted to blame someone and got killed in the process.

I can't stand Stewart but this wasn't his fault. He previous incidents will hurt him here though including how he sent drivers to the hospital last year at this same track

Kevin Ward looked to have a bright future in racing, I can't call him an idiot. Wasn't Smoke's fault but he's the one that has to live with it.

My two cents is the guy that got out brought that upon himself. First you never get out of your vehicle unless it's on fire. The track conditions looked a little slippery, and he was in the track right out of a corner. The first guy even almost hit him, but yet he had to keep proceeding. You can tell that he tried braking, and that pulled him sideways. He didn't turn into him.

This is the typical inside view of the car.

The visibility isn't there. There is a big blind spot due to the cage. And they are still debating about pressing charges on Tony. That is totally bs.

Yeah, that's another thing the twits don't consider is blind spots. Its amazing how something so small can make something so much larger disappear.

Just the other day I actually pulled out in front of someone in the work truck because they happened to be in the exact right spot, in the right size car to completely disappear behind the mirror and pillar. Thankfully it was in the business park so speeds were low and a collision was avoided.

I actually talked to the guy since we went to the same place and I apologized. He was cool with it. He understood.

I don't see how they can press charges on him, the evidence they would likely have (based on the video) has so many variables.

I have that happen all the time driving some of the farm trucks.

Highly doubt any charges were going to happen even the thought of that pisses me off.
He took his life into his own hands by getting out of the car!

Last I looked yesturday the sheriffs dept. was asking for video from spectators and they already started an investigation on the track to include considering track lighting, time of event and fact he was in a black race suit out in the middle of the track.

i cant even listen to that guy, got 1/2 way through. throttle blip there was when he first saw him and it scared the crap out of him i bet. of course he was already hitting him at that point.

that kid asked for it. no way tony should be charged with a thing. who the F jumps out of a car thats not on fire and runs into the middle of a track? hell the car in front of tony almost hit him too.

pretty sure they all sign a death waver too. your at your own risk out there.

This Kid's stirring up ****. This is a small part of the article. here is the full column. http://www.foxsports.com/nascar/sto...unt-calls-out-tony-stewart-on-facebook-081314

"No evidence supports charges against Stewart, Ontario County (N.Y.) Sheriff Philip C. Povero reiterated this week, though he said the investigation is expected to last at least two more weeks.

However, Tyler Graves, a sprint-car racer and friend of Ward's who said he witnessed the crash, told Sporting News that Stewart tried to send a message to Ward and "went over the line with it."

"Tony pinched him into the frontstretch wall, a racing thing," said Graves, who said he was sitting in the Turn 1 grandstands at Canandaigua Motorsports Park and saw everything. "The right rear tire went down, he spun on the exit of (Turn) 2. They threw the caution and everything was toned down. Kevin got out of his car. … He was throwing his arms up all over the place at Tony for most of the corner.

"I know Tony could see him. I know how you can see out of these cars. When Tony got close to him, he hit the throttle. When you hit a throttle on a sprint car, the car sets sideways. It set sideways, the right rear tire hit Kevin, Kevin was sucked underneath and was stuck under it for a second or two and then it threw him about 50 yards."

Graves said he didn't believe it was intentional.

"You never mean to do something like that," Graves told Sporting News. "Kevin was pissed and he let Tony know. And Tony was trying to give the message back that he wasn't happy either. He went over the line with it."

But another driver in the race, Cory Sparks, also a friend of Ward who said he was a few cars back when Ward was killed, didn't blame Stewart. He thought Stewart was trying to steer away from Ward, not buzz him.

"The timing was unsafe," Sparks told AP of Ward's decision to get out of the car. "When your adrenaline is going and you're taken out of a race, your emotions flare."

it all comes down to, if the dumb rising star kid followed the rules and stayed in his car, he would still be a live and none of this would have happened.

he left the safety of his car. and ran onto the track. at his own risk, i still dont think tony hit him on purpose. thats just f ing dumb to think.

Everyone knows Tony didn't intentionally hit Kevin. The car infront of Tony almost him him too. Tony is one of, if not the best sprint car drivers there is. The whole thing is unfortunate and I feel bad for Tony.

i feel for tony too. hes had a bad run the last few years crashes, hurt, out for a year, now this to add on. hard to live with im sure.

cause in the end his fault or not, he still hit him, and he died. carry that around for the rest of your life. cant be pretty.
