air intake question for a 06 grand prix gt

I have 2006 grand prix gt I put a k&n air intake on, and the car ran fine the first 2 days it was on. I took the car out of town and when I arrived at my destination, tried to put it into reverse and it just dies I tried to restart it and the only way I could get it to restart was to pump the gas after I got it going it was misfiring really bad. My question is why would it be running so well the 2 days I had it on and what would make it misfire 2 days after the installation?

Did you install it correctly? Tighten everything down good? A pic of how you have it hooked up might shed some light on this. Also a vid of the car running might help as well.

I'm positive everything is hooked up correctly, I put the stock air box back in it after it did this and it ran perfectly fine. I mean its the series 3 supercharged motor, the same motor thats in the 04-05 gtp. The only thing that I can think of is the pcm is sensing to much air and its not getting enough fuel, which is why it kept dying. So my next question is do I need a pcm from a 04 or 05 in order to run this intake?

No it came off a 2004 grand prix gt2 all I did was simply swap the intakes, never put any oil on it. Its not that old of a system, i just took it piece by piece from the 04 and put it on my 06, I just think its weird how it ran fine the first 2 days it was on and out of no where I have a big misfire. Like I said after all this happened I put my old air box back in the car ran perfect again. Put the k&n back on the car it came from and it ran perfectly fine so I guess im just confused on why this would be happening. I checked all of my work over and cant seem to find anything wrong.

I'll have to try and get video or something, but do guys think it could just be as simple as the maf is not sitting in their just right? Im aware that they don't make a air intake for the 06-07's GT's but i see a lot of people put intakes on these years and not have problems. It could likely be something im doing wrong, but like I said I've checked my work and haven't found it yet.

As far as I can tell the sensor connector was installed correctly. That was the first thing I looked at when I started to have this issue, pushed it in as much as i could and was in their very solid, But it still had the rough idle.

I'm guessing that the tube doesnt secure properly to the maf or the tb and its sucking in air from behind the maf.
