How to extend roof rails for +04 Grand Prix?

Hey, I just bought a pair of roof rails with the hopes of putting them on my 2004 gp. I realize they have to be extended to fit properly but I wanted to know what to do to have them extended. Please let me know. Thanks
 


some one did a how to. madmonkey maybe?

he drilled 2 holes into the end, then stuck wire into the hols for added strength, then molded some jb weld or something like that to make em longer, sanded and painted, looked good.

Not much to it.. Probably the easiest way to do it
 
I've thought about buying a few cheaper sets of roof rails, and extending them for the 04+ guys..... Sad thing is. I don't have an 04+ GP to do trial fitting on to get them to the right length prior to sale... Or i would. Roof rails on 04+ look smexxxy

I am the one who modified them, it was a lot of work... (time consuming). Test fitting, sanding, drying time, repeat, it added up to much more time than I had anticipated. Most likely why I put it aside and it took me over a year to finally get around to finishing it. The windshield seal and the uniform gap beside along the sides is what eats the time.
