• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

I'm about to swap my tr55's for tr6's Scotty. I know I'm only on a 3.5 but I think it'll help me.

one list i saw said if rockered or cammed with a 3.25 to go 2 ranges cooler, im not that small only a 3.4 but got the 1.95's and headers.

im gonna make the gap smaller, see if that helps any. im at 55 now.

Well this is ****ing depressing...on a flip side....still running the factory transmission. Still taking nitrous and e85 like a champ

You don't want to jinx yourself with a 4t65 trans..

When things do go wrong sue Russ for the cost of repairs and pain and sufferinf

What a cluster**** of the last 36 hours. Started off Tuesday by driving down to Cincinnati with a bunch of friends, then back to Dayton by 9 PM Tuesday. Got two other friends together, piled into the Prius for a trip to Wilmington NC to pick up a GTP. Got there at about 9 AM Wednesday after driving in shifts all night, I didn't sleep at all.

Test drove it, liked it, bought it, got about 40 miles down the road when the car started to run like a big bag of crap. AFR went from 14.7 to 9.6, IGN at cruising from 40 to 17, idled like crap, gas mileage went completely in the crapper. Panicked a bit, then ruled out the MAF, but then drew a blank for a while. Turns out the car sprung a big ole vacuum leak right in front of the map sensor. A zip tie fixed that after quite a bit of bellyaching on my end. Between that and numerous turnarounds on the highway, it took about 10 hours just to get out of North Carolina. I just now got home, I'm tired as ****

I'll be out there tomorrow cleaning the exhaust tips, as those miles of running rich as hell made them look like crap. Russdinoguy, you look like a guy who spends time cleaning exhaust tips. How do I make mine clean?

More info to come tomorrow after I catch up on sleep.

Yesterday...pulled the engine and trans on an Impala for my last engine swap before I go back to NC on Sunday. Tried to get a Celebrity Eurosport coupe running...because I wanted to run it into sh!t...too bad the trans was toast and I could only make it go like 3mph pedal to the floor...just kinda bump things at that speed. Cat was glowing cherry red by the time I finally gave up and it was knocking worse than when I started. Maybe today I'll have better luck finding a runner to run into things...

Last night I worked some more on the Grand Wagoneer. Got the engine ready to yank other than 2 freaking manifold to y-pipe bolts...blue heat wrench is needed and guess who's out of acetylene? The Camaro is ready for paint and most of the broken interior trim has been removed for replacement. I still have a million and one things to do and only a couple days to finish up...we'll see how things go...
