Tuners In South Dakota

Are there anyone that does tuning is South Dakota. I had someone on here from Sioux Falls but cant seem to find him again

Delano. And yes I am able to flash without having the PCM in the car if needed. A homemade take rig is pretty easy to make if that's what you meant.

no local tuners,

Prices?

Depends on what you need done and/or what I have to figure out for your tune.

If you just need a couple things adjusted on a current tune, then buy me dinner.

If I have to build from scratch, it would depend on what I would have to do. If you want to give me an idea of what you need done then I could give you a better idea.

top swap, emissions delete, egr delete, performance shift button added. i know theres more but i cant think right now

thats not to bad, i am fine tuning my top swap file with the same delete now so i should be able to convert it over easily enough. . i would have to look up how to do the perf shift button, but i know thats not to hard. though that would depend on the other things you cant think of right now, lol.

i would need to know your vin number in order to pull the right file to start working on it before you get here. i personally would not want to do a mail order tune and ship back and forth. to many variables for the top swap that i am not comfortable with.

i would say dinner and a 6pk of 312

Oh, almost forgot to ask/mention....

is the top swap installed now and is it running? if so, what file are you running? if not, how do you plan on getting here? Worst case, if you dont have a file already, you can ship me a PCM, i can load a base tune on it (dont get crazy driving with it) and then you can drive it here to tweak it.

secondly, i will not flash your pcm unless you have a spare on hand. i do not take any chances in case the flash fails and fries your pcm. i have been stuck in a different state when this has happened and it is NOT fun without a spare PCM.

Make sure it is an exact match (hardware number and serv number as your stock one), order from www.car-part.com if you didnt know about them.

I'm building the engine now. right now the car isn't street-able yet. the pcm i have now a guy in Sioux Falls tuned it but it doesn't start the car unless the map sensor is unplugged. I do have a butch of pcms. Just wondering why the hardware and software numbers have to match? My daily driver had a issues with the programming and i though a spare one i had same year (2000) and options and seems to working?

other PCMs very well may work, however, the only times i have every toasted a PCM is when a non matching pcm was being used. its more or less a personal preference so i know i dont have to worry about if i can write to that PCM or not.

which map sensor are you using? which pcm file are you using, the gt or the gtp file? and it should still at least start even if the wrong map is plugged in, thats odd yours is doing that. but if you are using the gt file, use the gt map, if you are using the gtp file, use the gtp map.

if you want me to tune your car, i will be using the stock GT file modified for fuel and timing and other stuff. i would prefer not dealing with a franken-bin setup.
