The Panda- Pretty Much a Racekar

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

It'll happen. On a perfect road, this set up is absolutley incredible. Any bumps or cracks in the road, it's not fun. There have been a lot of times where I have to take a different car to a place simply because of coilovers.

Current technology in bags is amazing (as you know) if you can spend the money which kinda has me throwing that around. High quality components = lotsa money. I'd imagine it wouldn't be hard to stick $4-5k into a setup.

Yeah I totally agree that bags are making huge progress. For some reason though I get this weird feeling that coilovers are the way to go with this car. It just seems that the semi aggressive style of it needs a limit to how low it can go or else it doesn't seem as mean anymore. And with bags, you can still ride low but theres something about always being low that I think suits this car. Like bagging a corvette or a viper, even though they arent comparable cars to the gp, it would seem odd to bag them even if the bag technology was equal to coils. Idk if that makes sense at all haha

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

So today I decided I need these. Maybe for next year, we'll see. Having a hard time finding anything lightweight in a "5 spoke" setup like it has now. I think I'll have a ton of different wheels laying around here eventually, heh.

you're going to spend the money to actually make a set of work vsxx?? yyyyesssssssssssssssssss

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

The thing I like about them is you have so many choices for offset, lip depth, caliper clearance, etc. But at $900+ they should have a lot of variations lol.

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

I wish I could afford real wheels.

And if I could I wouldn't be driving a gp anymore. Lol

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

i probably can afford real wheels and i still don't want legitimate 3 piece super expensive wheels.

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

C0236, "rear wheel speed sensor missing"

wat.

Also need to fix the exhaust soon, it leaks like crazy and hangs super super low, scrapes on acorns.

Need to send in the Aeroforce too, button was broke so I can only change the bottom setting :(

Scrapes on acorns? No more going in pappas driveway then.

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

Hey, we all need another gathering again! Hopefully panda will be back down soon and for a fun weekend of just chilling and what not

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

Oh and I think the TCC solenoid took a dump too. Bogs horribly in 4th until I brake just enough for the lights to kick on.

Zach's driveway lol. Those pine cones coming down like hail were terrifying.

Re: The Panda- New Adventures

Fully built trans will be done before any "go fast" parts. Even though most people do it the other way around, I think it's smarter to have a super solid base to start with.
