Ugh, O'reilly dexcool

Went and picked some of that 50/50 up for the gtp (I need to get it flushed, but new clean coolant is better than nothing, right?) Started pouring it in through my funnel, a couple DROPS of that **** splashed onto my fingers and they swelled up instantly... Stuff is just off the charts nasty!

Got pretty paranoid I might have gotten some on the ground (we have stray cats around) and with what it did with a few drops, I can only imagine drinking it. Might have went a little over board cleaning it up

green is nice, but I do love how when this orange crap corrodes you get a get nice fat glob of indicator, (maybe it's just me, but) it immediately makes me want to go through and check things that I would other wise put off.

Oh jeez, I had a real dumbass moment yesterday.. I forgot to make sure my overflow cap was tight. So I go for a drive, some bumps here and there, yada yada... well I started to notice some kind of funny odor. It ended up spraying onto the motor, the rim/tire, the radiator, and of ofcourse my airbox.

I think the smell of burning dexcool is enough to give somebody cancer, lol. Made my nose start to bleed anyways.

Overflow should never be that full... unless you are a 97/98 and even then.. it wouldn't be that full

Ya sure? It is a 98 with a tiny ass overflow wedged right up by the airbox..... It's allways been about 50-60% full... but it is easily possible I added too much!

And the bumps weren't exactly enough to bounce off the ground, but they were ...eh, "shook the car around after a 40mph deep pothole " bad at worst

If you swelled up quickly from touching coolant, you may have an allergy to something in it. Propylene glycol allergies are actually pretty common.

You should do the coolant relocation with the 99+ overflow bottle.

It was actually like this from the showroom floor *shrugs* Only thing bugging me about it is the air hole on the tank.. tends to end up getting one drop or so worked out of it.. and I like to run without the top of my air box, so where does it suck into? lol. I'm sick of the tiny pinkish/orange spot on my air filter, *sigh* the price of a better, cheap, whine.
