Project Parts cars Hits 11.0 @ 126mph and beats a Bike in the process.
Sure, it's not the fastest bike. But on a test N tune day with little traction, most bikes (there were half a dozen) were barely quicker at 10.7 for the quickest of the bunch.

As a reminder...
this car has 160 K miles and original:
Stock engine
Stock Transmission
Stock MAF
Stock Injectors

I am baffled with the capability of such a stock car. Turbo Kit, Free weight reduction ( around 550-600 lbs removed)
The MT 26" slicks made a big difference. That's what allowed the car to do well on a crappy track day. That is a 10 second car for sure on a good track !

Thats ****ed up. Kind of a slap to the face with all the guys with cam, heads and still have a hard time getting there.

A lot of people do way too many unnecessary mods for what they are trying to achieve. Anything with a M90 S/C isn't going to be easy.
Too hard to intercool efficiently. Even a thick core is nothing compared to a true large front mount intercooler. A turbo is so much more efficient it's not even fair.
However a turbo kit isn't the easiest thing to do. I will say this, tuning the turbo was easier then tuning a small pulley on a mostly stock engine. 2.6 pulley on stock motor even with methanol and AV gas is a challenge. Very hard to get good performance and no KR.Going turbo allowed easy 11 second 1/4 mile time on pump. Race fuel allowed low 11s with ease on slicks. Now going for 10 second.
Of course the trans will not hold this forever but it's been holding it so far but it's at the limit for sure

nice times for sure.

however, the bike riders suck. anything fuel injected should run 10s all day long. just being that guy.

Damn that shift into 3rd sounds familiar (my rig last year) lol.
Great times for what you have into it... but don't discount what others are doing. You've got 600lbs out of the car.
That's a BIG deal.

My car probably makes 150-200whp more than you but since it's full weight I'm going to have issues besting your 11.0.
But I wanted a true full weight DD style setup that's quiet and still runs 10s.

Freaking awesome job! Stunning example of why owners should ditch the blower and go turbo if they are wanting to go fast.

Was that a Ninja 250?
Do they run 11s ? Don't think so...

It was an older bike, not sure what it was, didn't really pay attention.
There were other more recent big cc bikes only doing 10.7. Remember track was slippery so low 10s isn't easy even on a stock busa or ZX14

That is grinworthy for sure. Nice work.
Thanks. I had some feedback this week about the car. People who didn't know who I was but talked to a buddy of mine who owns a fab shop.
The guy told him how a Junkyard GTP was running low 11s and he didn't want to take his car off the trailer out of shame.
Didn't want to get spanked by old GTP lol.

That is an estimate. I don't know exactly how much I took out. But it's at least 500lbs. Sure helps the trans survive.

I don't know about that. How do you know what I make? With all that converter slip, trust me the car makes power at 25 psi. But the stock converter/stock trans isn't putting down power efficiently anymore.

And you guys only look at peak numbers. Check a dyno chart with the bigger turbos. That makes big peak power right right where the shift point is. My power is steady from 4000 to 5500 now (more boost lowered my HP at high rpm). My torque converter never leaves 5K+ through the run no matter what gear I'm in.

p.s. I made a full pass on 3rd gear by mistake. Didn't notice the shifter moving into 3rd after the burnout. Ran 11.5 @ 124 mph with only 3rd gear right off the line lol. If I went WOT off the line I bet I could have run 11.2 with only 3rd gear.

Great runs... the shortblock I have is out of a 96 buick with over 200k miles on it.. Team Factory Race Block ;)

Turbo is just way to go. My buddy Seans M90 full weight car we got to run 11.50's but seemed to take everything under the sun to
make it work out and took a looong time to do so. First time out with the turdbo was 11.49... thats when we realized, we wasted
alot of time on the M90 setup.

Yes the turbo is a whole new level. Highly worth it if you want max performance not just for a drag car but for street cars on pump gas.

I'm not sure if you would call a 67 a "bigger" turbo... but my car makes near peak whp from 4500-6500.
